Plain Yogurt + Mixed Berry Compote = Delicious Breakfast (served with toast) If you can find Greek Yogurt (and I'm sure you can, it's everywhere), you should use it. It is thick and creamy and absolutely delicious.
The Mixed Berry Compote is:
A few handfuls (roughly two cups) of mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup water
Squeeze of lemon juice
Pinch of salt
Bring everything to a simmer and stir for a few minutes until the berries begin to break down. If the compote is really liquid-y, mix 1 Tablespoon of corn starch with 1/4 cup of cold water until smooth, then add to the compote, bring to a simmer, stir for 60 seconds, then cool.
