What Not To Bake

Lima-Cheese Bake

This "recipe" courtesy Better Homes and Garden's New Cookbook, ca. 1970.

Pour boiling water over one 10-ounce package frozen limas. Break apart and drain. Blend one 11-ounce can condensed cheddar cheese soup and 1/2 cup milk. Add limas, 3/4 cup sliced celery, and 1/4 cup snipped parsley. Stir in half of one 3.5-ounce can french-fried onions. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Trim with remaining onions. Bake 10 more minutes. Serves 6.

Editor's Note: actually this serves more than 6, because who in their right mind would eat this crap?

Why would you post what not to bake? I could tell you what not to bake. Don't put poo in an a non-stick pan and cover it with ketchup and mustard and then beat in egg whites until they form firm peaks. Maybe you should also avoid microplaning your tongue before drinking some fresh squeezed lemon juice.

Most of all, I think it is extremely negative to post what not to do. You should focus on the positive aspects of cooking and let me handle the critiques. For example, I plan on posting useful information about your recipes, like how many pots and pans are necessary to create your suggested meal. Some people might be curious to know how many burners are required while other might be curious to know how long the fucking dishes will take to wash by hand because you hate your boyfriend and won't buy him a dishwasher.

kisses!
